Cake Shoe Template – I can’t believe it, but this is my 100th video tutorial! I remember when I uploaded my first video, I was very nervous and scared. I mean, I still get nervous every time I upload a video, hoping people will like it, but to think we have 100 tutorials now, it’s amazing. Cake Shoe Template

The boots themselves are made of rubber (or in this case Squires, which is the same thing). I need something stronger than fondant because they need to hold their shape and dry. If you don’t have an eraser paste, you can also try styling paste or add some Tylo powder to the erasers. The finished shoe is about 4 inches long and it took me a while to get the pattern right so we ended up with this nice open toe and stiletto heel.

The main reason I love this shoe is that no mold is used. This is just a pattern I made that I print on cards and cutouts. If you are looking for molds, there are some amazing ones, especially for heels, but I understand that they are not always available in some parts of the world. So this is a design that you can model yourself.

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to model the heel, use a small collapsible stand to shape your shoe, add the body and finish with a pretty bow. The nice thing about these is that you can make them any color to match the theme of your cake, maybe adding a black sole or red depending on the style of shoe you’re making. I had so much fun making them, they look great on a cake, whether you need one shoe or the pair I made. If you need a pair to make the opposite shoe, I just flip the pattern over and make it exactly the same.
