I am proud to say that my eldest son became an Eagle Scout on April 10, 2014! I am very happy to complete his project and he is very happy to be an Eagle Scout. Now he feels accomplished and like a leader. He’s working on his Ranger badge now and loves it! He just turned 15 in June, and I’m so glad he did so quickly. I know that when he gets busy in high school, the scouts will be right behind him. If I hadn’t done it now, I don’t think I would have had the time or energy to do it.

Woodbridge Pd Hosts Vigil Thursday For All Line Of Duty Deaths
We had a fun Eagle Scout Court of Honor for him and another guy from his Scout team at our church about a month ago. I figured out how to set up my decorating ideas and program (the other mom helped me a lot with the program because she already had 3 Eagle Scouts). I will also share with you the printables I made for decoration.
First, I took a picture of him in his uniform. ** Please, if you take a picture of your child with the flag behind them, make sure you have the stars on their right, left. I made the mistake of doing it the wrong way.** We did it right before their board of review, so I was all set.
You can do it yourself. No fancy camera needed. Just find a nice background, a tree, a nice rock wall, an American flag, etc. Just put on your uniform, fix your hair, step away from the background so it’s a little out of focus and you’re done. , You don’t need a fancy professional image for your Eagle Scout invitation, trust me.
This is what I got from my son. He was sitting on the verandah and his sister was holding the flag. I probably should have ironed the flag, but nobody cares, right? ** Please, if you take a picture of your child with the flag behind them, make sure you have the stars on their right, left. I made the mistake of doing it wrong.**

Then I invited him to Photoshop. This invitation is also included in the download pack! Simply load into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and place your image on the correct layer, change the text and you’re done! Its size is 5×7. If you don’t want to bother doing it yourself, or if you don’t have Photoshop, you can order it from me here on Etsy and I’ll make it for you. If you order custom invitations from me, I’ll also email you a free printable so you don’t have to download them here.
Then we did the program. Next were only pictures of boys. I made one for you which has a normal front and you can write whatever you want inside. Simply open a new project in Word, flip it horizontally, and create two columns. In the right column, type your program. Then when you print it back and forth it will come out fine.
Check in with your Scout Leaders and find out what they like to include in the Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Here’s an idea of how the Eagle Scout Court of Honor is organized:
Eagles Nest: Name (This is where one stands up and tells all Eagle Scouts to stand and sit in the Eagles Nest, a place where the chairs form a semicircle. They stay there for the rest of the event Huh)
Eagle Scout Stampin Up Card
Mentor Pin Presentation: Boy’s Name (My son also used this time to explain his project to the audience)
It’s best to keep it simple! We don’t want everyone to die of boredom, do we? Our Eagle Scout Court of Honor lasted about 30 minutes. Excellent! I only asked the speakers to take a few minutes, like 3. Seriously.
Now on to the presentation table. I had taken a picture of my kids and reduced the opacity so they could print a bit. I printed it on a piece of cardstock and then everyone present signed it. As you can see, my husband thought it would be fun to write his name with a nose-green pen. Stupid boy!
Her display table also included her eagle trophy (which we bought at a trophy store, but I really like it from Amazon.), her certificate in a frame, her invitation, and her photo of the framed eagle.

Then on the wall above his desk I took some string and glued it to the wall where the stars were hiding the tape. Then, using Clothespin, I uploaded some photos of his project, as a scout cub, photos of him in his soccer uniform, and many other images. as well as their congratulatory letters
