One of my favorite Christmas traditions is putting up new decorations. I like to do a little each year. Last Christmas I made these wooden stars with beads. It’s a great addition to my DIY Christmas decorations!
3D paper decorations are some of the crafts I remember in school. I decided it was as quick and easy as I remembered last year. It turned out to be one of the easiest and fastest Christmas decorations I’ve ever made.
I’ve made them a few times (they’re great for New Year’s and birthday parties) They are always crazy so I thought it was time to share them with you. It’s great to make perfect holiday decorations for the whole family to enjoy on a cold winter’s evening.
What I love about these simple stars is how easy and versatile they are to make. You can use these stars for different events just by using different colors. Bright pastels for a summer party. Blue for the 4th of July. white and red Gold for New Years or red and green for Christmas.

I’m a big fan of simple paper projects, especially if they don’t take a lot of time and money. So trust me when I say that this project is budget friendly and anyone can do it. Two sheets of paper to make each star. pencil Scissors and glue are required.
The clever 3D design is created by creating two different 4-point star shapes and gluing them together (a hot glue gun is great for this part). It looks very complicated, but it is very easy to put together.
As Claire shared on her Instagram, I love the big 3D stars attached to the hem of the dress. Use fishing line to make a magical star or make small toys and hang them with ribbon. Or if you really want to get fancy, mix it with honeycomb balls or paper poms to create an amazing look.

I used 12×12 inch short paper for the large star. Cut your paper or card to a smaller or larger size to make a different star. Here is a template that you can print out on a card and use as a guide.
4. Turn the paper over and make a small mark between the horizontal and vertical lines.
The best way to attach parts is with double sided tape or a runner. Fast glue like PVA glue or Elmers Glue will stiffen the paper and the glue gun can get messy when gluing small areas.

9. Fold the tape and fold the other side of the string and stick it.
10. Do the same for the remaining points to make a four star shape. This will be half of your star.
Top tip: There are many ways to hang your cute stars. The first thing is to tie them together between two pieces of fishing line or twine. The second step is to use a needle to tie your fishing line at one point.

It took me a long week to put it together, but it turned out great in the end. The instructions are hard to follow at first and after mixing the pieces I recommend putting a line under the numbers 6 and 9 and spending an hour trying to get the 9 pieces to fit. Part 6. What you should be careful about is wearing a mask to distribute sweets. After the show, it was humid (you can’t see it until you take it off), so I had to wear a mask. Can only be worn for a few hours. It is worth noting – a black cloth was placed over the eye sockets to cool it – possibly a hindrance to his life. I was able to paint with acrylic paint. I saved the ingredients for the layers and used them a few times to add color. I recommend Tacky Glue for assembly.
The instructions are vague, but it’s a beautiful model and works well for me. The quality of the paper makes a big difference in how it turns out, as well as the choice of glue.
